Roles
When creating portal users you will prompted to assign one or more roles to grant various permissions to allow the user to access certain data and perform certain tasks.
You must have role assigned in order to grant it
For security reasons your own user must have the role(s) assigned to it in order to grant ti to other users; for instance you must be an administrator in order to grant the administrator role.
The following table describes these roles and the permissions granted:
Role | Description |
---|---|
User | Basic portal user, effectively read only and reporting access. |
Hub | Hub access allows configuring of all channels, webhooks, as well as access to profile data and reporting. Ideal for technical staff. |
Contact | Access to the broadcast tool, broadcast reporting and profile information. |
Administrator | Full access to configure the channels and API Spaces, as well as chat and broadcast tools, profile data and all reporting. |
Agent | Chat agent, can use chat and has read only access to most information such as profiles. |
Supervisor | Chat supervisor, all the access of "Agent" as well as the ability to see analytics, configure chat options and teams, reassign chats and see live activity reporting. |
