Find out about how to configure Meya.ai to work with Comapi

Meya is an ideal platform to build your next-generation bots. Meya is the complete cognitive platform for software developers. Build, train, and host your bots in one platform.

We can be easily used with Meya to create powerful and cost effective bot experiences across the channels your customers use on a daily basis, thanks to Meya supporting Comapi as part of its integrations.

To get started please sign up with Meya and follow the configuration instructions below for you chosen integration connector.

Meya has two possible integrations to Comapi to choose from:

  1. Comapi - Allows Comapi Hub users to easily link a bot an API Space to allow it to assist your customers using any/all of the channels supported by the "One" API
  2. Comapi Contact - Allows Comapi Contact users to easily configure Meya to act as a chat team, so that Meya bots can work seamlessly alongside your customer services teams, helping to lighten the load

Configuring Meya to use Comapi Hub

Configuring Meya to use Comapi for communication across any of Comapi's Hub's channels is simple. Just follow the instructions below.

1. Enable the Comapi Integration

You will find the Comapi integration configuration page in Meya under the Integrations section in your bot as shown below.

2. Find your API Space Id

You need to decide which API Space your bot will use and then find the API Space Id.

You can select which API Space you want to work with by selecting it from the API Space drop down at the top of the page (highlighted in yellow below).

Next open the API Space details section by clicking on the API Space Details item in the left hand menu under the Hub section (highlighted in green below).

Copy the GUID from the ID field, and note it for adding to Meya.

3. Generate an Access Token

Click on the Access Tokens option in the Hub section of the left hand menu.
In the access tokens management screen click on the Add New Access Token button fill in the Name and Profile fields. The Name field describes the access token or its intended purpose such as the system that will use it e.g. "Meya". The ProfileId field is the name of the virtual identity for the token i.e. the name of the system, or department e.g. My company.

Click Next to choose permissions.

There are a many different sets of permissions to choose from, but for our purposes simply select all the One API Access - All Channels, as we want our bot to send and receive messages on any channel. To allow Meya to setup the webhook for the inbound messages to the bot, please now open the Advanced options section and select the category Webhook.

Now hit the Create button.

Your access token will be shown with a convenient copy button on the right hand side. Ensure you copy this now and store it somewhere safe as it cannot be retrieved once you have navigated away from this page for security reasons.

4. Enter your details in Meya

Login into Meya and open your bot instance.
Select the Integrations section from the top menu.
Click the Add button next to the Comapi item
Enter your API Space ID and Access Token in the fields provided and click Save
Meya will now create a webhook on your API Space so that inbound messages are sent to Meya automatically.

Configuring Meya to use Comapi Contact

Configuring Meya to use Comapi Contact for communication using Comapi Chat across any of Comapi's channels is simple. Just follow the instructions below.

1. Find your API Space Id

You need to decide which API Space your bot will use and then find the API Space Id.

You can select which API Space you want to work with by selecting it from the API Space drop down at the top of the page (Highlighted in yellow below).

Next open the API Space details section by clicking on the Platform Configuration button on the left of the page (Highlighted in green below) and selecting the API Space Details option.

3. Create a Chat team for your bot

Your bot will require a Comapi Chat team setup to represent it, and this team will be the first team customer communicate with usually. To setup the team for the bot do the following:

  • Login to the Comapi Portal
  • Navigate to Contact -> Chat -> Configure
  • Click the Create team button (highlighted in green below)
  • Fill in the teams name and select an avatar (highlighted in orange)
  • Enable all the channels that the bot should be monitoring (highlighted in red)
  • Scroll down and click Save

4. Enter your details in Meya

You will find the Comapi integration configuration page in Meya under the Dashboard or Integrations section in your bot as shown below.

  • Login into Meya and open your bot instance.
  • Select the Dashboard section from the top menu.
  • Click the Add button next to the Comapi Contact item (highlighted in red below)
  • Enter your API Space ID and Access Token in the fields provided and click Save

5. Select your bots team

Meya will now create a webhook on your API Space so that inbound messages are sent to Meya automatically and retrieve a list of Chat teams from Comapi Chat. Select the team the bot will use from the drop down menu highlighted in red below:

Please ensure your bots team does not have any agents assigned as the bot will answer all chats assigned to your selected team.

Channel Restrictions

Please note that not all of Meya's card features are supported on all channels offered by us due to channel restrictions; these are:
